My puppy Kirby had itchy skin for the longest time, and I didn’t  know why. I mentioned it to his veterinary and all he said was give him a little oil, so I decided to experiment and give him some coconut oil.

Fed regularly to dogs, coconut oil can improve your dog’s skin health,  digestive and immune systems, metabolic function, and even their bones and mental health!

Coconut oil is made up of more than 90% Medium Chain Triglicerides (MCTs), which are the main source of the benefits. These MCTs have the following health benefits for your doggies:

  • Clearing up dry skin issues, from allergies to dry skin
  • Creating a shiny coat while minimizing doggy odor
  • Prevents and treats yeast and fungal infections
  • Disinfects cuts
  • Improves digestion
  • Reduces or eliminates bad breath
  • Helps regulate diabetes
  • Increases energy
  • Aids in arthritis, or ligament issues

The recommended dosage is 1/4 tablespoon per every 10 pounds of body weight twice daily.

After a month of giving Kirby coconut oil for breakfast and dinner, I started to see a large improvement in his general health. He was itching far less, his coat was gleaming in the sunlight and he seemed to have a more energy and wanted to play with his younger brother Milo more!

I highly suggest this for your doggy’s health :)!
