Here is a recipe for the Master Liver Detoxing drink that I am drinking all 14 days of my liver detoxing. Some people can drink up to 128 oz a day (1 gallon), but I’m good at 32oz. Even though I know this drink is helping me, I am not a fan of sweetened drinks but I can drink water with squeezed lemons.  Funny, huh?

Did you know that next to your heart, your liver and kidneys are the second most important organs in your body? They say that the liver has more than 500 functions and it is eliminating toxins 24 hours a day, every day. Your liver not only detoxifies, it is also responsible for digesting foods and breaking down fats.

Everyone is exposed to an enormous amount of toxins daily, from the air we breathe, the food we eat, water we drink, and pollution and STRESS! I know that by cleansing my body, I will be removing built-up toxins and strengthening my organs that are involved in my body’s detoxification process.

Master Liver Detoxing Drink

For 32 oz size to be sip. Recipe can be doubled or tripled

Mix together the following –

4 cups filtered water
6-8 tablespoons, fresh or bottled lemon juice
1 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
3 tablespoons grade B maple syrup or blackstrap molasses
cayenne pepper to taste

How are the Ingredients Beneficial?

Lemon (and Lime) – Cooling thermal nature; perhaps the most valuable fruit therapeutically for people who have been eating a high-fat/protein diet. Destroys putrefactive bacteria in both the intestines and mouth; used to purify the breath. Its antiseptic, anti-microbial, and mucus-resolving action make it useful during dysentery, colds, flues, hacking coughs, and parasite infestation. Benefits the liver, encouraging the formation of bile; improves absorption of minerals; promotes weight loss, cleanses the blood; treats high blood pressure, thick, poorly circulating blood, and weak blood vessels. Helps alleviate flatulence and indigestion.

*In general, limes can be substituted and are grown with fewer chemicals.

Maple Syrup – is 100% natural whole organic food. There is no way to alter it. It is three times as sweet as cane sugar, and it has fewer calories! Maple syrup contains manganese (an essential co-factor in a number of enzymes important in energy production and antioxidant defenses) and zinc (for the proper function of endothelial cells and helps to prevent the endothelial cell damage caused by oxidized LDL cholesterol and other oxidized fats). Zinc and manganese are also important allies in the immune system. Many types of immune cells appear to depend upon zinc for optimal function.

Maple syrup may help to support reproductive health and provides special benefits for men. Zinc is concentrated more highly in the prostate than in any other human tissue, and low levels of zinc in this gland relate to a higher risk for prostate cancer. In fact, zinc is a mineral used therapeutically by health care practitioners to help reduce prostate size. Manganese may also play a role in supporting men’s health since, as a catalyst in the synthesis of fatty acids and cholesterol; it also participates in the production of sex hormones, thus helping to maintain reproductive health.

Cayenne pepper – warming; one of the highest botanic sources of vitamin C, helps relieve constipation, qi (pronounced chee is vitality) stimulating herb, reduces phlegm, and assists the body in eliminating parasites.
