I have many favorite quotes. In fact, I have been collecting quotes since I was very young. I am inspired on a daily basis by things I read, see or hear. I believe words are so powerful. The following are a few of the most recent quotes I have collected that have resonated with me and that I think the Healing Place community will appreciate:
“Once you make a decision, the world conspires to make it happen.” – Ralph Waldo Emerson
“In a gentle way, you can shake the world.” – Mahatma Gandhi
“What would you do if you weren’t afraid?” – Spencer Johnson, M.D.
“Let the beauty of what you love be what you do.” – Rumi
“Some people feel the rain. Others just get wet.” – Bob Marley
“Never underestimate the power of dreams and the influence of the human spirit. We are all the same in this notion: The potential for greatness lives within each of us.” – Wilma Rudolph, USA gold medalist in track and field at the Olympics
I love the Bob Marley quote. It’s just like how some people views things as “the glass half-empty” or the “glass half-full”. It’s all perspective and subjective. Awesome quotes!
One of my favorite quotes by Marianne Williams
“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It’s not just in some of us; it’s in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”
