As part of the Healing Place Medfield’s customized healing program every client is offered detox foot baths to speed up detoxifying the body. These are not pretty by any means. Depending on what illnesses the client has, each detox foot bath result will vary somewhat.

This client has had Lupus disease symptoms for several years. After learning about the Healing Place’s services, she decided that she wanted to try Reflexology to see if she could alleviate some of the extreme tiredness that she was experiencing due to Lupus.

On April 13, 2015 she came for her 9th reflexology session since December 2014. When she started in December, her energy level was extremely low and she had a lot of body pain. She had enough energy to walk in increments of 5 minutes before being totally exhausted. As of April 13, 2015 she can walk in increments of 15-20 minutes, and sometimes even longer. Her body pain has diminished considerably. She is happy with the results she is making and she is hopeful that her energy level will continue to increase.

In the attached picture, the detox foot bath shows that she has a lot of yeast (whitish cottage cheese flowing on top of the water) and the brown colored water indicates toxins releasing from her liver. Every time she comes for an appointment, a detox foot bath accompanies the session.

For those who don’t know what Lupus is, here is some basic information:

Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE or lupus) can affect any organ in the body and may cause a wide range of symptoms.

Over time, SLE can even lead to organ damage. It’s important that people with Lupus understand their symptoms before organ damage occurs and work closely with a health care provider.

Some of the most common lupus symptoms are:

  • Extreme fatigue that doesn’t go away with rest;
  • Joint pain, stiffness, and swelling in two or more joints;
  • Fever over 100°F;
  • Muscle pain;
  • Hair loss;
  • Skin sores and rashes (which may occur in a butterfly-shaped pattern across the cheeks and nose);
  • Nose or mouth sores (usually painless);
  • Skin rashes after sun exposure.

My client suffers from #1, 2 and 3 and she minimizes her exposure to the sun.
