Want to make a delicious smoothie?

Just tried this one and it is a winner for sure! We used Manuka Honey in this recipe to make it extra sweet.

Treat yourself to the taste of the tropics with this nutritious, filling breakfast smoothie.

Heart-healthy walnuts chock-full of omega-3’s and fibre-rich avocadoes in this smoothie will give you the fuel needed to kick-start your day.


– 1/2  ripe avocado

– 1/2  small banana

– 3/4  cup cold water

– 1/3 cup California walnuts(crumbs or halves)

– 1/3 cup coconut milk (reduced fat)

– 2 tbsp honey (or less to taste)

– Juice from 1 lime

Combine all ingredients in a blender and process until smooth for about 1 minute.

Serves 1


Substitute coconut milk and water with soy or rice milk.
– Try adding protein powder for a complete meal.

Per Serving: about 649 cal, 8 g protein, 44 g total fat (9 g sat fat), 64 g carb, 10 g fibre, 0 mg chol, 31 mg sodium.
