gratitude jar 2 gratitude jar 1If you are like me, you spend time at the beginning of every new year reviewing the key highlights of the last year. Many of those moments are wonderful, and some of them, painful. Remember that the painful moments are usually life lessons that we must learn.

We go into the year with new hopes and promises that we make to ourselves. I have had so many grateful moments this year, which have blended together to create wonderful memories.
I take them for granted, and in some cases, have forgotten them until I look at photos. That is why I love keeping pictures on my cell phone long after the events.

I am going to continue this practice of adding to my gratitude jar. Each day, to the best of my ability, I am going to write what I am grateful for during that day along with the date and put it in the jar.

At the end of the year, I will review every written note and take that energy and use it as seeds of good fortune for the upcoming new year. I am blessed that I have created an incredibly rich life with people who love me,and surround me with positive energy.
