Fertility Support with Reflexology

The fetus in the featured picture means a great deal to her mom and me. Her mom, Kate, has been coming to the Healing Place LLC for fertility Reflexology therapy since 2018, after years of trying to conceive.

Fertility Statistics

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), one in every eight US women or one of every six couples have problems conceiving or staying pregnant. (Male infertility contributes to 40-50% to infertility problems.)

Who is Kate?

Not only is Kate a client, but she has also become a friend that I come to care about genuinely. She and her husband have been trying to conceive for five years on their own, and with four unsuccessful IVF treatments. They were exasperated and didn’t know what else they can do. From researching, they turned to alternative therapies, including acupuncture, which didn’t work, then trying Reflexology. That became a success for Kate and her husband. Yes!

How Does Reflexology Support Fertility?

Becoming pregnant is one of the most stressful events for couples. A couple can be doing everything right, from managing stress, eating a healthy diet, monitoring hormonal cycles, and yet, no baby. Each month becomes more emotionally painful and stressful, especially when the fertility clock begins to work against you.

Reflexology can help with:

  • Balancing hormones, regulating ovulation and menstrual cycle, and supporting the uterus functions.
  • Relieving stress, anxiety, and worry
  • Supporting the liver and kidneys functions by eliminating toxin build-up

What is Reflexology?

Reflexology is the ancient art of healing. It can be used in conjunction with conventional treatment to obtain relief from a variety of conditions – from general stress to specific disorders. This gentle and non-invasive healing art originated in Chinese and Egyptian medicine 5,000 years ago.

Why Does Reflexology Work?

There are more 15,000 nerve endings in the feet connected to every organ and body system. To increase energy flow, release toxins, and support body systems, a trained, certified Reflexologist uses their thumbs and fingers to stimulate 15,000 nerve endings and bring the body back to homeostasis.

What is Reflexology Training? In-person USA Reflexology School programsĀ take anywhere from six and twelve months to complete. Foot reflexology program require 300 hours of study including classroom study, hands-on practice, clinical work, and a written thesis.Ā
