What Can You Do Today to Become a Better You?

Self-care and personal growth have to be conscious and ongoing. Think about what you do everyday. Here are my go-to list when I am overwhelmed.

Stop overscheduling and over-extending – Look at your plate with open eyes.  Make rest and sleep a priority.

Listen to your body and follow through – Stop ignoring your thoughts and needs.

Get healthy – Stop living from your chair and move your body. Everyone wants to be healthy!

Gratitude – What are you grateful for? List your top 10 top events for 2019.

Family and Friends – Express your appreciation for the important people who have helped you this year. Let them hear your voice by talking to them in person or on the phone.

Don’t like your job? – Time to update your resume and start looking.

Manage your money – Are you throwing your money away by purchasing and then not using items like your gym membership or a subscription to online services? Or spending money you don’t have?

Regrets and mistakes – Instead of dwelling on negativity, what did you learn instead? Mistakes are life lessons.

Apologize and forgive  – You don’t have to wait until the end of the year to be accountable for your actions. Instead, own up, make amends with anyone, including yourself, that you have hurt this year. It is never too late to apologize.

What’s holding you back? – Personal growth comprises of recognizing your limiting beliefs, fears, and doubts. What have held you back this year? Ask yourself: are these emotions real? Or are you using them as excuses for not moving forward in your life?

Dream big – This is what I love to do! But don’t get stuck in dreamland.

Action Plan – Self Care asks you what are you going to do today? All the wishing and hoping will not change your life.

Challenge Your Personal Growth

Make your life strong, rather than putting off your personal development and self-care. Challenge yourself every day to become a better person instead of giving a vague date that may never come. Every day can be your resolution and self-care day. You are worth the effort and the time.
