Ear Reflexology also is known as Auricular Therapy, is part of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM.) Reflexology is the ancient art of healing. Ear Reflexology Map
Each ear contains a complete reflex map of the body, rich with nerve endings and multiple connectors to the central nervous system. Ear Reflexology based on zones and points in the ears which relate to meridian energy centers. The shape of the body projected onto the pinna side of the ear. The head reflex point is located on the ear lobe while the legs reflex points located in the fold on top of the ear pinna (superior cus).
Give Yourself a Self-Care Ear Reflexology Treatment
You can give yourself a mini relaxation ear reflexology treatment. This procedure can be done daily and can be extremely relaxing. Using the fingertips, gently but firmly massage both ears simultaneously. Ear reflexology can help to relieve migraine headaches, increase attention and focus, relieve sinus infections, lower blood pressure, and support hormonal balance.
To balance the energy in the head region, using both fingers and thumbs, working on both ears simultaneously, start from the outside edge of the ear and working towards the center (not into the ear canal) –
Begin at the top of the ear – Place index fingers on the surface of each ear and thumbs place underneath, gently rub the outer ridge of the ear from the top of the earĀ to the ear lobes. Repeat stepĀ for 2 – 3 minutes.
Inner ridge -With both index fingers, rub the inner ear ridge from the top of the ears towards the earlobes (6 o’clock). Repeat for 2 – 3 minutes.
Inside the ear – Insert an index finger inside of the ear (not down the ear canal) and gently rub in a sweeping motion, starting from the center of the ear to the outer edge. RepeatĀ for 2-3 minutes.
Ear Lobe– With the index finger and thumb, gently massage each ear lobe from one edge to the other. Repeat for 2 – 3 minutes. The next step gently pull the ear lobes in different angles to encourage blood flow for 2 – 3 minutes.
