As humans, we have a natural desire to fix things and make them better, including ourselves and those around us. It can be incredibly frustrating and disheartening when we cannot heal or improve physical or emotional pain.

Frustration can come from various sources when we are sick, especially when we can’t break the suffering cycle. It could be due to a lack of knowledge or resources to address the issue or simply out of our control. It could also stem from our emotional connection with ourselves or the person we want to help and the pain we feel when we suffer or see others suffering.

It’s important to remember that healing is only sometimes possible, or sickness can be prolonged and unbearable. Feeling frustrated is okay when we cannot improve thingsā€”acknowledging these feelings and finding healthy coping methods, such as talking to a trusted friend or therapist, engaging in self-care activities, or practicing mindfulness and meditation.

We can also use this frustration as motivation to learn more about the issue and find ways to support struggling people. Sometimes, simply being patient with yourself or being there to listen and offer empathy can be the best healing we can provide to others and ourselves.
