If you have abdominal pain accompanied by nausea, digestion or fever, you might be trying to pass a Gallstone! To support healthy gallbladder functions, incorporate self care Reflexology.Ā

Gallstone symptoms occur when a gallstone has moved and become lodged in either the cystic or bile duct. Typical symptoms include abdominal pain accompanied by nausea, indigestion, or fever, causing instant and intensifying pain in the center of the abdomen just below the breastbone.Ā

Where do Gallstones come from?

The development of gallstones can vary from person to person, and not everyone with gallstones will experience the same symptoms. Gallstones develop slowly over 10 to 20 years, growing large enough to cause symptoms or complications. The formation of gallstones is a complex process involving the buildup of cholesterol or bilirubin that can crystallize and gradually grow into stones.Ā

Who gets Gallstones?

Gallstones are three times more common in females than males. Estrogen may increase the risk of gallstone formation by affecting the composition of bile and slowing gallbladder emptying.

Large or fatty meals can trigger the pain, but it usually occurs several hours after eating and often awakens the patient at night. The condition commonly returns, but attacks can be years apart.

  1. Gallstones: Gallstones can cause pain, particularly after consuming fatty meals. The pain usually occurs in the upper right abdomen and may radiate to the back or shoulder. Gallstone attacks can be sporadic.Ā
  2. Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD): GERD can cause heartburn and discomfort, which may worsen after eating large or fatty meals. It can also lead to nighttime symptoms, such as awakening due to acid reflux.
  3. Pancreatitis: Inflammation of the pancreas, known as pancreatitis, can cause severe abdominal pain that often occurs after eating and may be associated with high-fat meals. These attacks can be intermittent and may happen years apart.
  4. Peptic Ulcers: Ulcers in the stomach or duodenum can cause abdominal pain. Certain foods or large meals can trigger pain.Ā
  5. Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS): IBS can lead to abdominal discomfort or pain, which may be triggered or worsened by certain foods, including fatty meals.Ā

Gallbladder Stone and Bile Stone PAIN RELIEF with Foot Reflexology

How Does Reflexology Support Gallbladder Functions?Ā

Reflexology is a science and an art. Reflex points located on the feet, hands, and ears represent the body in miniature. The nerve pathways in each foot create an electrochemical flow that communicates with the central nervous system encourages the body to relax and release toxins. The principle of Reflexology is that all reflex points, meridian pathways, and chakra regions are connected to specific organs, glands, and body functions. Reflexology promotes the elimination of stress and reinforces the body’s ability to stay healthy and vital.
